SKU: LT708
Quickly find where your optics need to re-attach.

These handy low-profile clips were designed to be attached on the rail, against optics, lasers and other MIL-STD-1913 mounted accessories, providing a quick-index to return to the same point...especially in the dark. Each set comes complete with 72 total clips, 60 regular and 12, designed to hold tapeswitch wires along the rail's edge. LaRue IndexClips are easy to install, and stay-put until pried off (a Dillo's foot works really well for this). Several clips in a row can be used to protect a length of rail, and feature a non-slip surface.

Colors: Black, UDE, OD Green, Foliage Green, Flat Dark Earth and RED
Made in USA
  • Glass-reinforced polymer
  • Low profile
  • 60 Regular clips
  • 4 Lower Hooks (for tapeswitch wires)
  • 8 Top Keepers (to secure tapeswitch wires into Lower Hooks)
  • Enough pieces to cover a carbine's, railed-handguard if desired

Inexpensive and genius design. Great for those who want to maintain a slim profile on the rail system and protect/retain any tape switch. With using QD throw levers, one might forget where the optic/light was on the rail system; the IndexClips solves the problem. If you utilize QD levers or tape switches, the IndexClips will add intelligence to your weapon.

These index clips are amazing in comfort and look a lot nicer than all rail covers that I have come across and they allow you to easily mark the placement of optics and accessories that have quick disconnects in order to replace them into exactly the same location. The clips installed easily onto my Stag Arms AR-15's flat-top uppers rail, but when I went to install them onto the Diamondhead V-RS versa rail system rails they were extremely hard to install, super tight. I do not think they will ever fall off, even if bumped hard. I actually bruised my thumb pretty bad installing them all and it is worth it, they look great and provide for a very comfortable grip that the rail alone could not provide. Keep up the great work LaRue! Jeff

I was very satisfied with these clips, and Larue Tactical as a whole. these were my first purchase from Larue Tactical. these clips were exactly what i was looking for. they are slim, won't come off unless you want them too, and eye appealing. I think they should make a fully stippled version! I was also surprised when I opened up the box to find, Dillo rub, a video, copies of the US constitution, and 2 bumper stickers. I will definitely buy these for my next AR, which I am now leaning towards a Larue Tactical. Thank you!

Pretty cool design. I put a bunch of these on the side rails of my LMT. They make the weapon feel much thinner (which a good thing) than the LMT rail covers did. But, man they were a bit of a hassle to get on. I found a new "job" for my surefire mini light pressing those things on. I doubt they will ever come off. All in all very nice.

Installed over a 2 week period (they were a real PITA until I figured out how to use the free Dillo for something other than opening beers) on my Sig 556 with a Troy rail. Changed my rating from 4 to 5 because if they weren't such a PITA to install they would fall off easier. Felt great after using them. Looks great & MINIMAL weight compared to the slip on rubber covers. Wire clips work fantastic & for both securing your wires, but for holding the Surefire pressure switch in the void between rails. Awesome job, guys & gals. Keep up the good work. FANTASTIC product. Dick, Ozark, Mo.

You have to hook the top portion first then press the bottom portion and tap,tap with a hammer and they are on(Perfect fit). They are the best rail covers on the market hands down and as others has stated,I dont think they will ever come off,if you need to,there's the trust dillo that Larue ships.

Why didn't anyone think of these before? The closest was to get the ERGO Grips ladder rail protector and cut it up, but they never sat right and were a pain to install/remove when individual... not to mention three sections cost $36! These snap on and off easily but are secure when on. The wire holders are a nice addition, no use at the moment, but in the future they'll go on. The contour and feel are similar to the Magpul XTM panels but these seem a bit more slim and you can cover exactly the rails you need to. I wanted something less bulky, more modular, and better quality than the current offerings, LaRue definitely delivered.

I have tried Picatinny rail covers offered by Magpul, KAC, and Troy, and while they're excellent, I found that they simply added too much bulk, at least for my preference. The fact that these are available in a multitude of colors, and priced right, is simply icing on the proverbial cake.

Have 2 sets of these, one red and one in black with the hand stops. Originally purchased them because I wanted red accents on my rifle and these were the only type of rail covering I could find. Once I installed them I was impressed enough to buy another set. I like the feel, look, color options, and ability to cover the exact amount of space I want without having to cut/snip/dremel anything. The size of the clips themselves is just right: not too low profile like a ladder, but not as bulky as some of the other covers out there. My buddies were impressed enough to buy their own sets for their rifles in fact. All my future builds will use these. I did have some issues installing these on a picatinny top rail on my Seekins hand guards. Not a fault of the clips as they went on easy with any other rails I've had. After some searching online I found if you heat the index clips for about 10 seconds with a hair dryer they will slide onto a Seekins rail without issue and without compromising the integrity of the clips. No banging or wrapping required. A great original product from a great company with great service. I am definitely a member of the Larueminati :)

You need one or two or ten clips just snap them on or off. Your not cutting pieces of the ladder style rail covers constantly and ending up with a bag of non-usable left overs or throw aways. Great idea by Larue and the clips with the wire looms are perfect for holding down your wires in place and out of sight. The clips can be removed easily with the Larue Dillo beverage entry tool. While not something I would wan't on my whole rail, they work great in combination with ladder rail covers. I use these on the first 5" of my 12" quad rail to form a hand guard, then have a vertical forgrip in front of that. Really makes the rifle feel excellent in the hand, giving the option of a comfortable horizontal grip, or vertical forgrip. And it makes for a great look as well.

These are lower profile than anything else I've seen out there for protecting a rail, they add very little bulk. As other reviewers mentioned, they are tough to clip on (your thumb will likely get sore) but once on there, they are on there, definitely not coming off short of using the Dillo Beverage Entry Tool to pop them off (or similar item). To install them, clip one side of the clip onto the rail then rock it over and clip the other side. Do NOT try just pushing them straight down the middle, you will wear yourself out. I have both the OD and FDE clips and the color is true to Magpul's stock colors. Also these clips allow for all kinds of rifle configurations while still protecting the rail. I love these clips and will be using them for all of my rail systems from here on out. That said, there are a few things you should be aware of. These clips are hard plastic and do not have any sort of rubberized coating. For those of you looking for a rubbery texture/"grippy" feel, look elsewhere. Also as you can tell from the pics, the clips will not protect the ends of your rails (obviously). Finally, these clips are not for repeated clipping into place and removing, so configure your rifle, set the clips and forget about it. If you love moving your crap around all the time, these are not for you. Thanks Larue for the Dillo Dust and beverage entry tool. BTW...if anyone at Larue is reading this, you forgot to include the Beverage Entry Tool on one of my orders. ;)

I was looking at other rail covers until I saw these and had to give them a try. I'm glad I did as they fit great! Snug and tight, don't have to worry about them coming off at all. And as stated in other reviews, the Dillo tool works great for removing these. The rail on my bottom fore stock was digging into my fingers when shooting my rifle and these took care of that issue, actually giving me more grip! The only issue I have is, I wish we could order the lower hook and top keeper clips separately. I could use more but don't really want to order the whole set again to get them since I have plenty of the regular clips left. Thanks for all the goodies that was sent along with these. The Dillo dry rub tastes great and I can't wait to put it on some ribs for the BBQ! I'll definitely be a returning customer... Thanks again for a great product!

These work great, no fitment issues at all, and they fit perfectly. As mentioned, a "dillo foot" is the perfect tool to remove them, and since the good people here were nice enough to include one (now I have at least 5...) attaching them to various rails was an extremely simple process. No more forgetting which rail to bolt my scopes to, no more worrying about dings and dents on the rails.

These clips are awesome. They give the rail a very slim profile and it feels great in your hand. The clips are made of very sturdy plastic and seem like they are going to hold up very well. The only downside, and it's really not a downside, is that they are extremely difficult to remove. I don't know if they stopped shipping dilows with the clips, I got a paint mixer (haha?), so I guess I'll be ordering one to help get these off should I decide to move them around. Something to consider though. You probably need to get the dillo to make removing these suckers a little easier. Great product. Great company. 5 stars.

Hello Again, I’ve made multiple purchases from LaRue Tactical recently so for the sake of convenience I’ll try to combine my reviews. As for the IndexClips in FDE, I purchased one set in black (already wrote a review on it), and after receiving it I immediately purchased another, so needless to say, I think they’re great. My opinion on the hat is, I like it. It’s of good quality material, well made, and looks and feels great. The only negative, is I wish I would have purchased the patch set with it. Now, about the Dillo. I love this thing! It’s the kind of gadget that you’ll end up using for a hundred tasks it was never designed for, and there’s something about the look of it that makes me laugh. I also just placed another order with LaRue Tactical and I am so impressed with this company’s products and it’s “above and beyond” customer service that I have no problem in saying that I’m going to be completely satisfied with this order as well. One other thing about this company, don’t be surprised if you find a little something extra in with your order. LaRue Tactical is a great company. A Merry Christmas to them, and all. Respectfully’ HD PS I like the nod to Navion.

I really love the index clips and the variety of colors. I needed a bunch for my 13.2 LaRue rail. They went on with a positive snap, and they come off without a problem. They should stay put otherwise. I did a bit of a camo pattern on the .300 BLK carbine, and it came out nice. Like others have said, they are low profile and great for keeping any remote switch wires tidy. I would consider using them again on a new build. I'm very happy with them. A rough-texture version might be a good idea for future index clips for a "no slip" feel. NHC III Greenville, NC

They are easy on, easy off and reasonably priced. I’ve tried a few different styles of rail covers, and while most of them did the job, I like these the best. I would also like to add that I was provided excellent customer service, as well as a free gift and stickers. (Although, on a personal note, while I really do appreciate the gift you sent me, I would have preferred something that did not rekindle my wife’s desire for me to paint the kitchen again.) But, all kidding aside, I like these IndexClips and would not hesitate to recommend this product or LaRue Tactical to anyone, and I will look for the opportunity to do business with your company again. I was originally looking for clips to properly route laser and light wires on my AR-15 style rifles. After searching the forums and reading all the rave reviews on these clips I decided to order them and I'm glad I did. My wires are now perfectly routed and the rails I have showing are now covered with no sharp edges to catch on anything. They even included a Tactical Beverage Entry Tool Dillo with my order which I didn't expect but was a welcome surprise. It's quite a handy tool. I love the bumper stickers you also included. I ordered the LaRue Index Clips based off of all the reviews and was absolutely sold with the pictures that showed the pressure switch cable management clips. When the box arrived at my house it was four times the size I thought it was going to be and heavy as hell. Before I opened the box I was almost doubting my purchase because if it was going to add close to the amount of weight as the box that I was holding I would have to be Arnolds size in Predator to hold up my AR-15 for more than a few minutes. But when I opened the box, to my surprise there was a ton of swag in it as well (Dillo Dust Dry Rub, two bumper stickers, three small copies of The Constitution of The United States, pamphlet sized calatog of other products LaRue had to offer and the Dillo Beverage Entry Tool (Which is hugely important)). When I got over the fact that LaRue pretty much gave me the equivalent of what I paid for the Index Clips in swag I started to finally put the IndexClips on my Black Rain Ordnace PG-9 Norguard .223/5.56 AR-15. And boy are those tiny little Index Clips tight. I ended up using a small rubber mallet to tap on most of the Index Clips onto my AR-15 quad railing. The Index Clips had a nice positive snap when they attached to the rail. If there was an Index Clip that I didn't like the location of, the Dillo Beverage Entry Tool almost seemed designed to remove these mispositioned Index Clips firstly and secondly to open a few cold ones; it was the perfect prying tool. After about 25 to 30 minutes of placing the Index Clips where I wanted them as well as using the cable management clips to channel my pressure switch cable; my rifle setup was complete. The Index Clips do an excellent job of smoothly streamlining the sharp lines of the my quad rail. I would absolutely recommend the LaRue Index Clips to anyone (even if you do not get all of the crazy swag I listed the product went above my expectations) looking to streamline your rail and cover those sharp unused edges.

As always, the quality is unmatched. I used these on a Springfield Armory SOCOM II with the VLTOR rail cluster. For those who have never shot one, this CQB rifle and its sister the SOCOM 16, will rattle your teeth out. I have tried so-called competing products from Magpul, Tapco and ProMag and they all come loose and fall off the SOCOM. Same story with those santoprene rubber rail covers. Only LaRue developed these babies from the ground up to handle recoil above 5.56. Not only do they cover unused rail space eliminating sharp edges, but they also act as wire looms for remotely switched devices such as lasers and lights, so no more zip ties. Because they come as individual pieces, they truly are index clips and not just rail covers. This is immensely helpful in quickly locating grip points by feel in the heat of the moment. Simple, well thought out product. Top notch quality.

Very happy with this particularly useful accessory. Easily and securely locked on to the KAC URX 3.1 rail of my Mod1. Finding a way to remove the clips required a thorough glance over of the instructions. USE THE TAIL OF YOUR DILLO. I don't know what came first, the Dillo or the clip - but I know they were made for each other. I also used my belt sander to salvage the "wire management" versions. By sanding down the wire retention portion of the index clips, I had more than enough to accomplish the required task of protecting my rail real estate while allowing a useful and comfortable hold on my carbine. Best wishes for continued success. Sly (Little birds really do rule! )

Doesn't get any better than this... but then I already knew that, being a LaRue product, going into it :)

Best choice for rail protection/grip. Very comfortable non slip grip surface that doesn't give your rail the diameter of a coffee can. Easily customized around attachments. I recommend these as a best practice item on all railed surfaces. The fact that Mark sells these is no surprise. Great company selling top of the line products.

I have tried a lot of different rail covers from Fab defense to Magpul and honestly none of them have come close to this product. I use these covers on several platforms and having the individual pieces makes it easy to leave the slots empty for my Gripod and Surefire as well as my Acog but I was most impressed when I used them on my WASR-10 (AK-47 Romanian) I have always had troubles with my index finger ridge touching the Midwest industries extended quad-rail. I always seemed to burn my hand and since my index finger contacts the bottom quad-rail pointing at the target. However, the rail protectors are totally non conductive and act as a shield for this application. I have found no other company even comes close to LaRue. On top of everything else the Rub and Swag that they send you no matter if you are spending 1000+ bucks or 10 bucks LaRue always takes care of their customers. Don't even get me started on their ACOG mount, took the thing off and remounted it over 100 times on top of dropping it accidently once or twice and it has held Zero 100%. It's ridiculous! These are outstanding and make the Seekins Precison rail on my 300 Blackout look great. My only question is How do you get them off? I thought they were easy to put on, but a real PITA to take off.
