$424.00
SKU: 500-016
Everything you need in a nicely-priced package, for those on a budget, priced from $416 (depends on mount selected).
The Patrol Rifle Optic incorporates many never before seen features to maximize this sight's performance within the challenging conditions faced by modern law enforcement. A hard-anodized 30mm tube was utilized, enclosing a high efficiency circuit that allows the sight to be turned on and left on for up to three years using a single battery. The front lens utilizes a unique band-pass coating, which allows the sight to be used with all generations of night vision devices. Both the front and rear lenses are recessed within the sight body to provide protection against impact damage, scratches, and fingerprints. Flip covers are included to further protect the lenses, and a transparent rear lens cover is utilized allowing the user to engage a target with the lens covers closed in an emergency situation. A two Minute of Angle (2 MOA) red dot is utilized to allow maximum accuracy at all distances and under all environmental conditions.

The combo comes complete with Aimpoint PRO package (complete with OEM mount), Aimpoint Mount or LaRue QD Mount, mounting screws with wrench, QD adjustment wrench, vial of blue Loctite and Instructions.

Due to high levels of demand, we have removed the restriction limiting sales of the Patrol Rifle Optic (PRO) to official end users only. The Patrol Rifle Optic may now be sold to all customers.

Note: Unlike iron sights, on MRD such as Aimpoint, you must focus on the target, NOT the dot!
Test outdoors with both eyes open ( the dot should appear fuzzy ).

  • About VFZ™ Mounts:
VFZ™ is a new theory in the concept of clamping accessories to MIL-STD-1913 rails. Instead of using a horizontal cross-bolt, the VFZ™ uses a vertical bolt that draws up a clamping foot against the lower angle of the rail, seating the mount similarly to a fully-closed LaRue lever. Once installed on the firearm, index marks allow the user to remove the mount, then reattach to the same tension, providing unprecedented return to zero for a non-QD-levered mount. The unique vertical alignment of the clamp allows components that are structurally stronger than traditional cross-bolt designs.

Why should I select VFZ™ Mounts instead of a QD Lever Mount?:
If you intend to leave an optic or accessory on a rail for the life of the rifle, the VFZ™ option is for you. The VFZ™ is intended as a longer-term, semi-permanent mounting alternative to our well-known Speed Levers. While both mounts will allow the user to remove the mount from the weapon, reinstall it in the same position, and return to zero, the VFZ™ mount is intended for users that will not need to constantly remove and install their mounts (especially in the field).

Sorry to be the brunt of bad news but.....this optic is not all that great. On an old rifle I had an EOTech 512 that I loved, I thought about trying something new and got this Aimpoint Pro. When I took it out of the box and put the battery in I immediately was disturbed by the oblong shaped dot, it was not round or crisp. After filing a complaint and doing some research it seems it is a problem not with the dot but my eyes and how I see it (maybe a slight stigmatism). The EOTech I had worked great, it was crisp and easy to sight in. The oblong shape makes it hard to keep a good group on target since its hard to place dot center mass, its not a bad sight for $400 bucks I just expected a little more. I looked through a higher end aimpoint on someone else rifle and it was clear and crisp, I think you get what you pay for.

I bought the Aimpoint PRO with a the Larue Cantilever LT129 mount for a Colt LE6920. Larue great customer service was great and my package arrived within a few days. The PRO is well made and rugged. The Larue is a solid, high quality mount; there is even a slick o-ring sealed spare battery compartment built into the side. I think Larue makes the best mounts available. This Aimpoint/Larue combo is worth every penny; highly recommended.

LaRue's customer service is outstanding. I had originally selected the T1 with mount combo. It turned out that item was on back order and when calling to check the status one day, the customer service person took the time to discuss other options and really understand my intended use. He recommended the PRO for it's larger object lens to help old eyes like mine. This option actually saved me money and I'm convinced it was the better choice for me. He also recommended the cantilever style mount and it works perfectly. You pay a little more shopping with LaRue but it is truly worth it for the quality of their products and the "best in class" customer service. These guys truly get it.

the optic is everything id expect from aimpoint. i ordered it with the cantilever QD mound and i love it, incredibly well fitting and strong just like everything larue makes. only issue i have is they did their own version of cowitnessing which works but is slightly lower than the "lower 1/3" so using my iron sights is slow. but you cant go wrong with this package, also came with the very large aimpoint pro mount which was nice for absolute cowitness, curently using it for my other red dot on another gun

The Aimpoint Pro is a great optic. I did a lot of research on this product vs. the EOtech. I ultimately choose this model due to the outstanding battery life, which is like 3 years. It is durable I have dropped it a couple times to check if it would hold zero and it did. The service from Larue is spot on.

I just shot my Sig 556 with the Aimpoint PRO and LaRue RAS II LT152 mount today for the first time. I don't know if it was the mount or the Aimpoint, but I started at 50 yards and wasn't even on paper - and we are talking about on of the big head and torso targets. I moved up to 25 and shot another group and it was about 8" high and 4" left of point of aim. This is my first time shooting with an optic of any kind, but as a former competitive rifle shooter, I'm pretty sure I'm not that far off. I guess it was a bad assumption that a company that could make such a complex piece of gear would send it out with something approaching a mechanical zero. After a few rounds of adjustments, I managed to get it close, but didn't have enough time to completely dial it in to the point of aim - point of impact at 50 yards I want. Oh, and I should also mention that the brightness adjustment knob ejected itself from the unit on about the third round I fired. I'll have to say I'm not completely thrilled, but hopefully it will grow on me.

Perfect combination of affordability and functionality. I still can't bring myself to leave it running 24/7 like they suggest, but if it can last 30,000 hours like they claim it is unbelievable. It took me less than 5 minutes to zero the sight in. I am still using the lower 1/3rd sighting, which coincides with the top of my front sight, roughly speaking. Either way, the 2-eyes open sighting is unconventional but highly effective and fast. The quick detach knob is fairly large, but the clutch mechanism is the reason why, to prevent distorting your picattiny rail.

I did my homework for quite some time and picked the Aimpoint PRO and LT129 cantilever mount from LaRue for my CQB rifle. The Aimpoint PRO can be purchased anywhere, but I wanted state of the industry mounts, and also to do a trial run with LaRue. Seldom does the hype hold up, but LaRue is as professional as I've heard. The mounts are rock solid and a great combo with this optic. Simple to install, and when co-witnessed, quick to dial in. I recommend the instructional videos from LaRue. JT in customer service was very knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. Not just with this optic/mount combo, but also with all my questions about their rifles. It is a pleasure doing business with people who take pride in their work and make great products (in the U.S.A.). Currently saving cash for an OBR 7.62 with all the accessories. Just as I've heard, my order arrived with all sorts of extras, including three copies of the U.S. Consitution, which were gifted to my less educated friends. Thanks, MB.

Great optic. Just sighted it in today and love how it shoots. Took less than 10 rounds to get me on the X at 20 yards and this is the first rifle I've owned, and the first one I've shot more than a few rounds in. Getting used to using both eyes while targeting but I'm getting better thanks to this optic. Bought it with the LT150 Lever mount and went on great first try, nice and tight without excessive force. Didn't have to adjust anything for my rail. Went through five 30 rounds mags of .223 without a single problem. Optic held zero the whole time. There's 10 different settings for the red dot which varies the intensity, with 10 being the highest. So far, at least to my eye, levels 10 through 7 are a little too bright, but all my shooting thus far has been indoors. The higher levels may work better out of doors. Also, levels 1 through about 4 are too dim to see, but I haven't shot in very low light situations either. Most of the time I'm using level 5 or 6, which works great for the range that I shoot at. Instructions were nice and clear, came with the tools needed for everything, and got it on the rifle the first time without issue. This optic was highly recommended by a friend of mine, and I will highly recommend it to anyone looking for a red-dot.

Aimpoint Pro works great. A friend of mine has been using one for years and his recommendation is the reason I decided to get one. Very easy and quick to sight-in. The dot is perfect if you actually know how to use a dot optic. No distortion, perfectly crisp and plenty of brightness settings for whatever your situation needs. Blind spots aren't too bad. The clear cover for the rear lens is great and allows you to aim without popping the covers off if you needed to do so in a hurry. LT150 mount is fantastic. Feels sturdy, holds the zero perfectly after mounting, un-mounting, and re-mounting. Very simple to adjust and locks solid as if it was built into the rifle. Lock on the lever is very quick to operate if you need to pull the optic off quickly.
